Durham Lions In Action

Members have donated playground equipment in Rainton, provided trips for handicapped youth, and provided text phones for the hearing impaired at Durham Library.

Our activities include our Women's Golf Tournament in May at the Elemore Golf Club in Hetton-le-hole, our Men's Golf Tournament in September at Mt. Oswald Golf Club, our Thanksgiving Dinner each November, Indian evenings each May, a Medieval Festival each July and our Hippo Raffle each December.

The City of Durham Lions Club was one of the first District 105NE clubs to appear on the World Wide Web, and the club plans to capitalise on the benefits of the Internet. We have recently obtained some new members.

Who knows? It may have been because of our Web presence!

Incidentally, we're always looking for more new members, male or female, so why not get in touch with us for more information?

To find out more about our Club please click on the links in the sidebar menu.
