IN MEMORIAM
DG Lion David Green ~ 18th December 2004
So rest in peace fellow Lion
And thanks for all you've done,
We pray that God has given you,
The crown you've truly won.

I was deeply distressed to receive the sad news that DG David Green had passed to "Higher Service".
He will be greatly missed by us all at International, District and, I am sure, Club level.
We must give thanks for all that David achieved through his Lionism, both in the local community and, in the wider world and I know that he was immensely proud of the District Convention just four weeks ago. It was also good that he could go out on a high, knowing that the District had supplied the MD winner of the Peace Poster Contest.
In the circumstances, I believe David was very courageous to serve as governor and it is sad that he was not spared to serve out his term. Certainly his colleagues were most grateful for his valued contributions to the Council of Governor Meetings.
Obviously, I have written to Pat to express condolences to her, but please pass to your District, the sincere condolences of the Multiple District on your and our sad loss.
Yours in grief and Lionism,
Lion John Goodchild
Chairman, Council of Governors, MD105, British Isles and Ireland

It has been an honour and a privilege to have known and worked with David and Pat over the past couple of years.
David was a great leader and an extremely brave man who bore his illness with dignity and courage to the end. He never once complained or made excuses but always had time for others and suffered what must have been many painful experiences in silence. In the presence of others he always joked and made light of his obvious problems. Our sincere condolences are extended to Pat and family and Banchory Lions.
David will always be remembered as a fun guy and a great ambassador and credit to our Association.
Goodnight God Bless David
