Scarborough Lions
WE SERVE is the motto of Scarborough Lions Club.
We are a great team with lots of exciting activities to fill all our members with great enthusiasm.
Fund raising is very important and we run many successful events such as -
- New Years Day Dip in the North Sea
- Golfing tournament at the Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club
- Mobile Gaming Casino of high quality
- Collections at Supermarkets
- Christmas sleigh ride round the Streets of Scarborough to entertain the children
- and of course - the biggest BANG in Scarborough - our Annual Firework Display which is seen by over 6000 people every year.
Over the years we have made many donations to a variety of projects within our local Community. These have been aimed at improving the quality of life of members of our community who are less fortunate.
Lion Tony Campbell & Lion Gordon Jenkinson can be seen here presenting a cheque to Springhead School which is one of many local causes supported by Scarborough Club.
Through Lions Clubs International Foundation, we contributed to the Tsunami relief fund and several other major international disasters.
Also through Lions Clubs International, we have our permanent sight campaign,
This major campaign is to help save the sight of many thousands across the World.
All funds raised by Lions Clubs' members. go direct to the required charitable project with absolutely nothing taken out for administration.
