LIONS CLUBS ~ STREET CHILDREN PROJECT
Street Children are young people who through no fault of their own, are living without a home other than the streets. They are found in many towns and cities throughout the world including United Kingdom & Ireland.
These children are in constant danger not only from the elements but from people who abuse and misuse them.
Lions work with other services to help make a a more humanitarian, a safer existence resulting in a better life for them.
They are helpless and need your support

EDUKITS have evolved They have been updated to include new materials. The cost of an EDUKIT is now £175.00 They are designed to be used by one Teacher and 40 Students. The revised Edukits enable each child to have their own set of school materials which they can take home in a durable plastic school bag and use when studying. In addidion to standard classroom supplies it now contains a solar/wind up radio. This addition enables the children to keep in touch with life outside the temporary camp as is also a teaching aid. |
