SUNDERLAND LIONS CLUB

Sunderland Lions work mainly at local level to provide help and support to various members of the community who may need some assistance. To enable us to meet these objectives many fund raising and service events help to maintain our spirit of fellowship, and everyone enjoys getting involved.
Top events include Meet the President, a party night for local organisations for disabled persons in November – but it‘s like Christmas, a Santa Sleigh, Casino Nights, and the main event of the year our Boxing Day Dip, where usually sane people get kitted out in fancy dress and combat the North Sea. The Boxing Day Dip now raises £65,000 each year!

Sunderland Lions Beer Festival
2nd & 3rd October 2009 sees the inaugural beer festival organized by the Lions Club of Sunderland in association with Ashbrooke Sports Club.
The main aim besides offering splendid ales to savour is to raise money for charity. This year we are supporting The Donna Claire Venture.
